A Day Before AMD’s RDNA 3 Drops, PowerColor Teases Red Devil RX 7000 Design
It’s just a day before AMD unveils its next-generation graphics processors based on the RDNA 3 architecture, but the company’s partners are eager to launch marketing campaigns for its new family of graphics boards, or at least PowerColor. Tweet the image already It could very well be one of the upcoming devil-badged cards belonging to the Radeon RX 7000 series family, which is due to be announced tomorrow.
“Demons morph into many forms,” PowerColor tweeted. “Be careful!”
Those who retweet the tweet may win a PowerColor Devil graphics card.
As of now, PowerColor has not officially stated that their next-generation Devil graphics card belongs to the AMD Radeon RX 7000 family. However, there are some factors that suggest the company is talking about RDNA 3, which is set to be officially announced tomorrow, November 3rd.
First, PowerColor has been a loyal AMD partner for over ten years. Second, the Devil logotype is red, which is AMD’s Radeon color. Thirdly, AMD is actually set to announce his RDNA 3 based GPUs tomorrow. So it doesn’t make much sense for PowerColor to talk about anything else today. The add-in board (AIB) makers are therefore clearly talking about AMD’s Radeon RX 7000 family which is set to compete in the ranks of the best graphics cards for gaming.
Besides timing, there’s something else notable about PowerColor’s tweet today. The graphics card element (probably PowerColor’s Devil logotype on the board’s backplate) is different from what the company currently uses. Whether this means AIB’s new design remains to be seen, and PowerColor says the winner will receive his prize by December 31, 2022. Given that we have an event scheduled in early November to talk about the cards, we hope that happens.
It was previously reported that AMD plans to start selling flagship and flagship graphics cards in the second half of December based on data from unofficial sources.
