A turbulent adventure with accessible text
Developed by Alex Leone, Upheaval (Watch the segment here) is described as a text-based open-world adventure game in which players must collect magical artifacts within 30 game days to stop an evil sorceress.
Accessibility was very important during the development of Upheaval, and design techniques such as turn-based gameplay allowed players with disabilities to rest between actions. Combine this with dedicated mouse and keyboard gameplay to eliminate the need for players with physical disabilities to use specific inputs. Upheaval allows full text-to-speech descriptions of the graphics required for the story, in addition to screen his reader support, for the visually impaired.
Upheaval will be available on PC.
Accessibility to VR space

BLINNK and vacuum spaces are inherently designed to be a relaxing and stress-free experience. This game was intentionally created to create as few barriers as possible for players with autism. There is no time limit, no failures, no options to skip tasks or replay missions. Some designs allow players to press a button on their smartwatch to seamlessly leave and rejoin the game if they feel overstimulated.
BLINNK and the Vacuum of Space is now available on PC.
