a whole new story

It should be noted that the film does not continue the story set by Prometheus and Alien Covenant, directed by Ridley Scott, who produced the original 1979 film starring Sigourney Weaver. It grossed a solid over 240 million at the box office, but it clearly wasn’t enough to continue with a planned third film. That particular storyline, which focuses on rogue android David (played by Michael Fassbender), therefore remains unresolved.
In addition to this film, another TV project being developed by Noah Hawley is the work that created FX’s Fargo anthology series. As the first TV series in the Alien Universe, the show is set on a future Earth and explores how late-stage capitalism causes massive conflicts between social classes, and how the spread of xenomorphs makes things even worse. Focus on what makes it worse.

Along with the long-planned TV project and the next Fede Alvarez movie, the Alien franchise continues in comics and video games. The next video game is Alien: Dark Descent, which sees a squad of Colonial Marines try to survive a Xenomople infestation. IGN recently previewed it after extending hands-on time with the game.
