Alleged Price and TGP of RTX 4070 Revealed by Leak
video cards We’ve published slides that were supposedly leaked from the final presentation of Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 4070 graphics card. In particular, the product will be priced at $599 and the total graphics power will be 200W.
Nvidia is set to release its GeForce RTX 4070 graphics card in mid-April, but most of its specs have been known for some time, though not from the company itself. Nvidia’s upcoming vanilla version of his GeForce RTX 4070 shares an AD104 graphics processor with the RTX 4070 Ti, but only has 5888 CUDA cores running between 1920 MHz and 2475 MHz. Like the ‘Titanium’ version, the GeForce RTX 4070 features his 12GB GDDR6X memory subsystem with a 192-bit interface.
The new graphics card has a total graphics power of 200W, which is said to be significantly lower than the TGP of Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 4070 Ti (285W) and GeForce RTX 3070 Ti (290W). This allows the graphics card maker to downsize the cooling system on his GeForce RTX 4070, thus maximizing compatibility with more compact computer cases. This is another reason why this board likely ranks among the best graphics cards available. According to the slide, the idle power and video playback power of the new board will also be lower compared to its predecessor.
Despite featuring a significantly reduced AD104 GPU, the GeForce RTX 4070 is expected to produce around 29 FP32 TFLOPS of compute power, matching the GeForce RTX 3080. An impressive peak bandwidth of 760 GB/s, significantly higher than the 504 GB/s bandwidth offered by the AD104’s 21 GT/s GDDR6X memory. In fact, even the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti has higher memory bandwidth (608 GB/s) than the newcomers. On the other hand, new graphics cards are expected to have large L2 caches, which may compensate for slower memory subsystems.

Perhaps an interesting wrinkle in the slide is that Nvidia compares its GeForce RTX 4070 graphics card to its previous generation GeForce RTX 3070 and RTX 3070 Ti offerings. With Ada Lovelace GPUs, Nvidia has emphasized that its latest GPUs can match or surpass the previous generation’s more premium offerings at lower prices. With the GeForce RTX 4070, it looks like Nvidia is betting on high performance and low power consumption at the same launch price.
In any case, Nvidia has not officially announced the GeForce RTX 4070 and we cannot confirm the authenticity of the slides. So for now, take the information with a grain of salt.
