Now that both AMD and Intel have released their latest CPUs and reviews have started, it’s time to decide and buy. Perhaps to make the decision a little easier, AMD is running a promotion that offers deep discounts on its latest Ryzen 7000 series processors.
AMD currently offers four Ryzen 7000 series CPUs based on the latest Zen 4 microarchitecture, aimed at performance enthusiasts, content creators and gamers. These processors range in price from $299 to $699, but for a limited time he’s available for well below the MSRP.

AMD’s range-topping 16-core Ryzen 9 7950X has a suggested retail price of $699, but for a limited time $574 at Amazon (opens in new tab), which is a hefty 28% discount. For those who don’t want to invest in all 16 Zen 4 cores, AMD has the 12 core he Ryzen 7900X with a $549 tag. $474 at Amazon (opens in new tab)14% off.
Additionally, AMD has a 6-core Ryzen 5 7600X with an official price tag of $299, but $249 from Amazon (opens in new tab)The sweetest spot is probably the 8-core Ryzen 7 7700X, which retails for $399, though $349 at Amazon (opens in new tab)a huge 22% discount.
All four AMD Ryzen 7000 series CPUs available are unlocked. With a compatible AMD X670E/X670 or B650E/B650 motherboard, you can overclock. Of course, these new AM5 platforms require DDR5 memory, which is more expensive than DDR4 kits, but the price of DDR5 is dropping. Additionally, AMD’s new CPUs are rated at a maximum thermal design power of 230W, so some users will need to buy a new cooler and possibly a new power supply.
Still, a new discount that isn’t an official price cut by AMD will probably sweeten the medicine.
