Anti-cheat and DRM software Denuvo is coming to Nintendo Switch.
In a press release, Denuvo developer Irdeto announced that their software will now protect Nintendo Switch games from piracy.
“Nintendo consoles have long suffered from piracy issues, and the Switch is no exception,” said Irdeto. describe“Even if the game is protected from piracy on the PC version, the version released on Switch can be emulated and played on PC from day one.[.]”
Denuvo blocks this emulation, requiring everyone to play a legitimate copy of the game.
