Owned by monitor specialist AOC launch A pair of game screens new to its Agon 5 series. He has two new 27-inch models with flat 1440p screens and attractive specs like 240Hz refresh rate, 1ms GtG and 0.5ms MPRT response time. However, one is based on a QD-IPS display panel, while another more affordable model uses a VA panel.

AOC’s new Agon AG275QZ/EU is the top model in the new pair. Its fast IPS screen features a quantum dot layer with 1.07 billion colors and HDR400 support. The refresh rate is a standard 240Hz but can be overclocked to 270Hz. Other great performances include GtG with 1ms screen response time and MPRT with 0.5ms screen response time. Turning to the new AOC Agon AG275QZN/EU, many of the above great features are carried over. This model is built around a VA panel with the same resolution and headline performance stats. It’s not overclockable or mentioned as such, but the refresh up to 240 Hz is very respectable. However, in terms of response time, it catches up with the IPS version with 1ms GtG and 0.5ms MPRT. The screen supports AMD FreeSync Premium, but G-SYNC is not mentioned. It’s also HDR400 certified, but the display is limited to 16.7 million colors.
