Apex Legends Content Crossovers Are Not ‘Off The Table’

No, you haven’t seen anything, and Apex Legends could eventually include an Overwatch-style crossover, bringing some pop culture content to Kings Canyon.

EA CEO Andrew Wilson said on today’s investor conference call: “When I think about gaming IP today, I think it’s like comic IP from 20-30 years ago.

“I see unlimited opportunities to continue to grow, expand and extend the nature of the experiences we can offer our global player base in the next decade and beyond,” he added.

Overwatch 2 recently made headlines by featuring the first-ever major brand crossover, adding One-Punch Man-themed skins, challenges, victory poses, and more.

This isn’t the first time, of course, and it’s following in the footsteps of Fortnite, which has long used branded crossovers to gain fans. I sport some themed gear.

There are no concrete plans to add this in the near future, but Apex fans can see something similar. At least it hasn’t been ruled out.

“Apex is certainly central to our business model,” said Wilson. “We have a sizable player base with incredible retention, and you know, like the nature of these free-to-play environments, there are ebbs and flows. And Apex’s unique , I think it’s the ability to continuously participate and rejoin” its ups and downs. ”

IGN’s Apex Legends review was 9/10 and stated: Being able to team up with friends and try out different combinations of Legend abilities for a satisfying champion victory screen is the perfect mix of thrill and familiarity. Consistent updates ensure gunplay never feels repetitive or boring, and no match is ever the same regardless of mode or map. “
