Apple Preparing New Processor R&D Center in Jerusalem
Apple will open a new R & D site in Jerusalem, Israel. The new site is focused on developing future Mac processors, and Apple is taking a completely long-term approach to the brave path after its relationship with Intel began to look like a mundane path. Is shown. Announced by Elad Weltheimer, Apple’s recruitment specialist (Opens in a new tab) Initiative via LinkedIn on Wednesday.
Wertheimer is especially looking for engineers who are specialists in processor and related hardware design. If you work in this area and can work in Israel’s historic Jerusalem, you can find the full employment information at the link above. This post also includes Wertheimer’s email address.
The scale of Apple’s R & D work in Israel was already quite large. Times of Israel The Cupertino-based tech giant states that it already has development centers in Herzliya and Haifa. Interestingly, the same sources claim that the Israeli Apple R & D team had a significant impact on the development of the M1 chip. “The flagship M1 processors, including the M1 Pro and M1 Max, were manufactured here in Israel in collaboration with other teams around the world,” said Johny Srouji, Apple’s SVP of hardware technology.
Currently, Apple’s Israeli business employs approximately 2,000 people. As of this writing, the Israeli company has more than 100 vacant seats. Only limited information can be used to estimate how many new R & D sites in Jerusalem will be added after they are fully operational. Assuming that the two existing R & D centers mainly account for 2,000 employees in Israel, it can be roughly estimated that adding more centers will add 1,000 positions.
Apple recently removed the last trace of Intel hardware on the Mac. Apple’s ArmSoC Migration Gambling seems to have been successful and recently launched the first device with a second-generation Apple M2.
