Atomic Heart: 4 Robots That Will Try to Kill You – IGN First

Atomic Heart is set in an alternate Soviet historical world filled with robots. Each of them cleverly builds on the lore of the Atomic Heart, built by Facility 3826 to provide day-to-day assistance to its inhabitants, and will never try to kill you. Here, we take a closer look at four of the many unique designs developer Mundfish has created for Atomic Heart.

MFU-68 Worker

One of the earliest models of bipedal civilian robots, the MFU-68 quickly became a versatile assistant in a variety of work areas. A great advantage of this small machine is its simplicity of design. This allows it to operate in a wide variety of weather and climate conditions, move perfectly over rough terrain, and be equipped with a variety of tools.

Originally designed for small deliveries, veterinary assistance and livestock grazing, the 40cm diameter circular saw blade combined with an improved polymer battery provides excellent logging performance. In addition to dismantling the limbs that happened to be caught in the road, I’m sure…

RAF-9 Engineer

The RAF-9 is a friendly, helpful and versatile robot that consistently exceeds the expectations of its creators. This model was developed to assist workers in assembly plants, designers and architects. The first robot of its kind is equipped with high-precision manipulator hands, freeing people from all sorts of manual work, and not tightening their necks or anything too tight.

The RAF-9 model is equipped with a communication module that helps you connect with people in a more natural way. Commonly called “Rafik”, this robot is widely known and works not only in workshops, but also in people’s homes. It can easily perform the functions of a janitor, an electrician or even a waiter and is always in the public eye. What can’t you trust?!

VOV-A6 Lab Tech

State-of-the-art mass-produced robots at Facility 3826. The VOV-A6 Lab Tech, or what scientists called “Vovchik”, is a state-of-the-art robotic assistant. Extremely smart AI with advanced multitasking abilities, these amazing machines even have self-healing algorithms. They are tasked with difficult tasks such as assisting in surgeries and handling chemicals. In addition, the robot gets along well with both children and the elderly as it cares for and entertains them. Fun for the whole family!

The black VOV-A6 is an improved version of Lab Tech. These Lab Tech robots are stronger, faster, and have better movement precision thanks to the addition of additives to the polymer battery and experimental software. For example, if everyone went rogue for some reason, this shouldn’t matter.

MA-9 Belyash

Good at welding and a key tool in future high-rise urban planning, the MA-9 Belyash reflects nature in its robotic form. After carefully studying the chimpanzee skeleton, scientists at Facility 3826 created his MA-9 to move building materials weighing up to half a ton.

The primate influence is evident in their characteristically powerful long limbs, ability to cling to vertical surfaces, and ability to move around on construction beams. Let’s hope they aren’t mistaken for fruit. Belyash has another unique feature. it’s the head. It is directly connected to a polymer battery power supply, has all the features of an argon arc welder and has a laser rangefinder. What’s the worst that could happen?

So this is just four of the many different robots you’ll meet in Atomic Heart. For more on IGN First, check out the gameplay of this boss fight or delve deeper into the game world.
