Awesome Games Done Quick 2023 Raises Over $2.6 Million for the Prevent Cancer Foundation

Awesome Games Done Quick raised over $2.6 million for the Prevent Cancer Foundation in a week-long, 24-hour video game speedrunning marathon that raised money for charity.

according to Game Done Quick official website, AGDQ 2023 featured 150 speedruns, raising a total of $2,644,770.41 from 39,857 donations from 21,519 donors. The maximum donation was $100,000, the average donation was $66.36, and the median donation was $25.

AGDQ 2022 set a new record for Games Done Quick by raising over $3.4 million for the Prevent Cancer Foundation. can’t believe it The results our team achieves make a difference to so many people.

The next big event after Games Done Quick is Summer Games Done Quick 2023, which runs from May 28th to June 4th. Last year, SGDQ raised a total of $3.01 million for Doctors Without Borders.

Held on Twitch from January 8-15, the event saw speedrunners from around the world show off their incredible skills for a good cause. There were many incredible moments during the marathon, such as when @NotImJhay set a new world record with his Super Mario Galaxy 2.

Ahead of AGDQ, Games Done Quick announced that founder Mike Uyama would be leaving the company after 13 years. Since the first event held in Uyama’s mother’s basement in 2010, GDQ has raised more than $41 million of his money for charities such as the Prevent Cancer Foundation and Doctors Without Borders.
