Binance launches ChatGPT-powered ‘Sensei’ chatbot

Binance has launched a chatbot powered by ChatGPT called ‘Sensei’, as seen in an announcement from the exchange. April 24th.

The chatbot aims to make information accessible to exchange users already on Binance Academy, the company’s blockchain education platform.

Users can access Sensei by clicking the robot icon in the bottom right corner of the company’s Binance Academy page.

After receiving a prompt, the chatbot will provide an AI-generated summary and display links to three relevant articles on the Binance Academy website.

Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao hinted back in March that the company might adopt more AI. At the time, Binance proposed using AI for customer support and compliance purposes. Binance also offers an AI art service called Bicasso that allows users to generate Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs).

Binance is currently facing charges from US regulators over certain information provided to its users. In particular, US officials suggest Binance advised users in private conversations and guide pages to use her VPN to evade the law.

The novel aspects of ChatGPT and AI tools could lead to further criticism from authorities if Binance uses information in inappropriate ways.
