Bitcoin peaks to $16,800 on higher-than-expected US payroll data

The US Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) released payroll data for the nonfarm sector. 223,000 Jobs were added in December 2022, recording a higher-than-expected increase.

US non-farm payrolls are 200,000 of last month after recording an actual increase of 263,000 in November.

As an initial reaction, Bitcoin gained 0.7% and peaked at $16,795.
