Developer Game Science has announced that Chinese folklore RPG Black Myth: WuKong will release in Summer 2024 with a wild new trailer.
A bizarre two-minute short film (below) shows a young rabbit trying to install a game on an old PC.
But when he finally installs the game, he sees nothing but a countdown clock, and years later, the old rabbit finally gets to see Black Myth: WuKong in action.
No specific release date has been given other than a summer 2024 window, but this at least gives us a rough idea of when fans will be able to get their hands on the highly anticipated RPG.Black Myth: WuKong First announced almost three years ago in February 2020, Game Science has been silent for some time, finally releasing an update in August 2022.
Based on the Chinese folklore established in the 16th-century novel Journey to the West, the game retells the classic legend of the Monkey King in Unreal Engine 5.
Black Myth: WuKong’s original trailer was incredibly popular and brought widespread attention to game science, but the devs don’t mind the hype and just focus on making good games I promised.
