The award-winning 2012 adventure game inspired Bloodstained’s new boss area coming in update 1.4 on August 23, 2022.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night was released in 2019. This Metroidvania tells the story of Miriam, a shardbinder, who was forced to fuse with her demonic-powered crystals, attuned her to her demonic powers.

And this isn’t the first time we’ve seen Bloodstained crossover with other popular games.

Child of Light’s Aurora debuted as a playable character in Bloodstained earlier this year, and now it looks like Journey’s epic, sprawling adventure has arrived in a side-scrolling RPG.

After finding a new area and battling it out, you’ll face a Guardian of that level. If you do your best, you’ll get a special Journey-inspired piece of gear…but what exactly that is is currently unknown.

Whatever it is, it’s clearly a must-have for Journey fans.
