Breath of the Wild Multiplayer Mod Lets You Explore Hyrule With Friends

2021, YouTuber point claw We offered a $10,000 reward to anyone who could create a multiplayer mod for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and submit it to him. Now, just a month before the launch of Tears of the Kingdom, fans can finally explore Hyrule with their friends using the mods born out of this contract.

On April 4th, PointCrow released a multiplayer mod for Breath of the Wild. This mod was created by his AlexMangue and Sweet. The two received a $10,000 reward last July and worked with PointCrow to complete the mod and release it to the public.

PointCrow has previously shown off the mod in multiple videos and used it to play games such as: hide and seekbut it looks like a lot of new features have been added since his last video showed off the mod.Since the mod’s launch, quite a few fans have tried it out.

The Breath of the Wild multiplayer mod is a link full of chalk.

“I’ve been playing with this for a week,” commented Resetera user Moara in a thread“When I first started playing BOTW, it came out just in time (laughs). Syncing quests is also an option, so you can always leave the game while the server is up, without interrupting other players’ progress.”

This mod is available for the Wii U version of Breath of the Wild.

Nintendo is not very cooperative

However, Nintendo does not endorse the PointCrow mod. According to PointCrow’s tweet, the company has blocked his multiplayer mod-related YouTube videos due to copyright claims. After disputing these claims, I was able to repost some of these videos even though they weren’t monetized. As of this article, some of these videos appear to have been removed again.

Breath of the Wild gave it a 10 in our review, calling it “a masterclass in open world design.” Of course, non-PointCrow players have quite a few mods for their games, including split-screen multiplayer mods, mods that essentially turn the game into NieR: Automata, and mods that replace Link with everyone from Waluigi to Minecraft’s Steve. I created a mod.
