Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Won’t Let PC and Xbox Players Disable Crossplay

We’ve noticed that those playing the latest Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 on Xbox and PC can’t disable cross-play with other platforms. However, PlayStation players have this option.

PC doesn’t have this feature at all, but the only way for Xbox players to disable crossplay right now is through the console itself. This ensures you only play with other his Xbox players, but it applies to all games, not just Modern Warfare 2.

PlayStation 4 and 5 players can easily switch between cross-play with other platforms or not. Unfortunately, Xbox and PC players are stuck with each other until Activision Blizzard rolls out an update to enable this feature.

This is not an entirely new issue, so whether developers choose to do so is another matter. Even Call of Duty: Warzone Works on Xbox as wellThere is a crossplay toggle on the platform, but as soon as a player queues for a playlist the game shows a notification asking them to enable crossplay, effectively rendering the toggle useless. On PlayStation, players can bypass notifications and queue for matches.

In IGN’s ongoing Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer review, he said, “Despite the fact that Modern Warfare II feels overwhelmingly familiar, I enjoy playing it and it’s a finger We continue to cross over, and we’re seeing some meaty, meaningful additions to shake things up a bit.”
