CD Projekt Releases Guide for Transferring Cyberpunk 2077 Stadia Saves

Following the news that Google Stadia will be shutting down early next year, developers building games on cloud platforms have taken action, including CD Projekt Red, who has released a guide for transferring Stadia saves for Cyberpunk 2077. I’m looking for a way to allow Stadia players to keep saves.

Released by CD Project step by step guide This will allow players who started their Cyberpunk 2077 saves on Google Stadia to transfer them to the PC version of the game. Is possible.

In the guide, CDPR says players can export Stadia save files from the cloud using Google Data Export. Then extract the save data so he can copy it to the PC version of the game.

If you’re playing on console, you can save your PC and sync it to the console version of the game using cross-progression via your GOG account.

It’s not the easiest way to save Stadia saves, but it’s a lifeline for players who can lose hundreds of hours of gameplay.

Google announced on September 29th that it will shut down Google Stadia. The cloud gaming service will end on January 18, 2023, and players will no longer be able to access their game library. However, Google will issue a full refund for all games and hardware a player has purchased for his Stadia.

The developers seem to have been caught off guard by the news, with detailed reports showing a chaotic final day for Stadia. So much so that the website is dedicated to Google’s killed project.
