The latest video game adaptation comes from a property that might surprise you: Roblox.
Reporter deadline, an episodic series based on the Roblox game Creatures of Sonaria is in progress. The series will be brought to you by Wind Sun Sky Entertainment and Productivity Media and will be directed by former Lucasfilm executive Katherine Winder, who is now his CEO and Executive Producer of Wind Sun Sky.
Wind Sun Sky is best known for Invincible, the Prime Video series adaptation of Robert Kirkman’s comic of the same name. Winder is best known for The Invincible, the Star Wars: The Clone Wars television series, and the Angry Birds movies.
Creatures of Sonaria is a survival game within Roblox created by Sonar Studios. The game takes place in the world filled with exotic creatures that fight to survive. So Winder’s experience in a galaxy far, far away might be a good fit.
Roblox allows players to explore thousands of community-created games, making it a somewhat quirky choice for a video game adaptation. It might conjure up thoughts of the long-awaited Minecraft movie.
