Cyberpunk 2077 Sees Highest Player Numbers Since Launch on Steam

Cyberpunk 2077 hits Steam’s highest number of concurrent players since January 2021.

according to steam chart, Cyberpunk 2077 had about 85,555 concurrent players on Steam last weekend. In contrast, the game had over 1 million concurrent players when it was released in December 2020, but has steadily declined since then. As of January 21, 2021, there were approximately 80,483 concurrent players.

This surge in popularity can be attributed to the high ratings of the Cyberpunk Edgerunners anime series by Studio Trigger and the accompanying 1.6 patch containing Edgerunner content.

Cyberpunk 2077 is quite the roller coaster ride. It had a disastrous December 2020 launch due to a number of bugs and glitches, especially on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions. As the situation unfolded, Sony dropped the game from the PlayStation Network Store.

The game was eventually relisted on June 21, 2021, with the caveat that it played best on the PlayStation Pro and PlayStation 5. Both his PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of Cyberpunk 2077 were finally released on February 15, 2022.

Despite this turmoil, Phantom Liberty is the only DLC planned for Cyberpunk 2077, and CD Projekt Red is an IP, even though development on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions has ended. Not finished.

In IGN’s review of Cyberpunk Edgerunners, “Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is a satisfying return to Night City that better explores why Mike Pondsmith’s famous location became iconic in the first place. will provide.”
