Destiny 2: Lightfall’s Odd Invisibility Bug Raising Doubts About World First Raid

It’s been a week since Destiny 2: Lightfall released, and players are still unfamiliar with the inner workings of complex Strand subclasses and Neomuna’s activities. While some early launch bugs were to be expected, one issue in particular has caused players some issues and is now questioning the future launch success of the new raid.

Since launch, players have taken the time to explore Destiny 2’s new expansions and updated features — some in the community have voiced their disappointment with Lightfall. ran into a specific bug that made all teammates appear nearly invisible. This is similar to what a guardian looks like when loaded onto an instance. On the surface it’s a fun bug, but unfortunately this glitch causes complications when joining activities that are grouped to focus on new content.
In a tweet on the Bungie Help account, the developer said they are aware of the seemingly invisible issue to players and are actively working to resolve it. One temporary solution to fix this is to restart and rejoin the game. While this will fix the problem in the short term, it is still possible for the bug to recur.

We are currently experiencing this issue when joining fireteams in PvE activities and in PvP mode. According to Bungie, this issue is due to a new Commendations feature that allows players to rate other teammates at the end of group activities. Unfortunately, invisibility bugs are pretty common right now, and Crucible activities can be annoying for players, as they require teammates to work together to find opponents that are harder to track down. It has become something.

Doubts Raise About Route of Nightmare Raids

Unfortunately, this bug occurs before the start of the new raid activity “The Root of Nightmares”. A new raid, starting March 10th, will add even more story and gameplay beats to power the Lightfall campaign. However, the visual bugs we are experiencing may disrupt the raid experience, making it more difficult for fireteams to coordinate and track teammates during raid encounters. It’s still a few days away, but Bungie is still working on a permanent fix.

In an ongoing review of Destiny 2: Lightfall, writer Travis Northup said: After playing Lightfall, its future doesn’t look so bright, perhaps because its name is all too aptly given.
