Elden Ring’s Colosseum DLC Is Real, Free, and Releasing Tomorrow

FromSoftware has confirmed that Elden Ring’s long-rumored Colosseum DLC is real, and will be available for free tomorrow, December 7th.

Revealed in the new trailer (below), the Colosseum update will, of course, add a new PvP mode, allowing players to face off in the grand arenas scattered throughout The Lands Between.

The trailer doesn’t detail what all these new modes will be, but it clearly shows both 1v1 battles and what appears to be doubles and even 3v3 battles. I’m here. The trailer description also states that anyone is free to join.

It reads, “Come forth, warriors, and bask in the glory of the Colosseum.” “The Coliseum of Rimgrave, Reindell, and Kayrid will open their gates, allowing players to engage in combat, including duels, free-for-alls, and team battles.”

The Colosseum has existed since the game’s launch, but was not accessible through normal gameplay. Some modders said he was already working in April, so some people never stopped exploring the area.

Of course, PvP wasn’t an option, but various Gladiator-esque combat sequences were found, including fights between warriors and giant lions. FromSoftware suggested that people will be able to travel to each Colosseum at some point.

Tomorrow’s surprise launch will be the first DLC outside of the usual updates and patches Elden Ring has received.
