IGN recently conducted an initial investigation. Fandelver and Below: Shattered Obelisk, Dungeons & Dragons’ upcoming campaign book will focus on Phandalyn, the beloved region of the Forgotten Realms. Here’s what we know so far:

Fandelver and Below: Shattered Obelisk is a pre-written adventure that takes place in the fictional town of Phandalin.Fandarin is a van der bar lost mines This campaign has been bundled with the Dungeons & Dragons Starter Set since 2014 and was many players’ first foray into 5E and tabletop role-playing games in general.

In an interview with IGN, a Wizards of the Coast rep said: below van der bar “A traditional fantasy adventure with a classic D&D feel and a dark and spooky twist of a horror movie.”
The campaign also “deepens the mystery of the obelisks found throughout Faerun” and focuses on the evil conspiracy of a group of goblins.
The adventure also introduces new player options such as magic items and beasts, taking players from level 1 to level 12 when played in its entirety.
