FIFA 23 Breaks Franchise Record With 10 Million Players at Launch

FIFA 23 has been an incredible success for publisher EA, with a record 10.3 million players logged in in its first week on the market so far.

EA revealed the news today, October 12, saying that the sheer number of players marks the largest launch period in FIFA’s franchise history.

SVP GM of EA Sports FC Nick Wlodyka said:

“With both the men’s and women’s World Cups and exciting updates to in-game women’s club football content still to come, we are just beginning to offer our players the most authentic and immersive experience ever. is.”

EA announced the inclusion of a women’s club in FIFA for the first time in July, along with revealing that Chelsea star Sam Kerr will be the first woman to grace an international cover.

FIFA 23’s record-breaking launch is likely to be a welcome send-off for EA as well, and perhaps a bit of a worry for the actual FIFA Association.Next year’s entry will be called EA Sports FC. EA ditched the brand name after it reportedly demanded $1 billion every four years.

In a 7/10 review of this year’s entry, IGN said: The most loved mode. “

However, for the Nintendo Switch version, IGN gave it a 2/10, stating “FIFA 23 on Switch is a classic example of minimum effort for maximum good.”
