Fortnite Creative 2.0 Teams Are Already Rushing to Remake the Original Fortnite Chapter

The race continues to recreate Fortnite’s original maps using the popular Battle Royale’s new and improved creative mode.

The team uses the latest Unreal Editor for Fortnite (also known as Fortnite Creative 2.0). This is a new addon available for his Fortnite on PC. As discussed at yesterday’s State of Unreal event, Fortnite’s Unreal Editor is for players to use to “design, develop, and publish games and experiences directly to Fortnite.”

This new tool runs on Unreal Engine 5 and builds on concepts from the existing Fortnite Creative toolset, adding new features such as expanded custom content, modeling, textures, and VFX. This is a complete game-changer for the Fortnite creators, and some possibilities are starting to materialize.

Shortly after Fortnite’s Unreal Editor went live, multiple teams began putting the finishing touches on a recreation of Fortnite’s original island.

One team called Atlas OG Battle Royale has already released a recreation of the original Fortnite island.

Another team called Reboot Royale posted a video with footage from the new Unreal Editor and said they were in “final preparations to reveal Reboot Royale for everyone to play.” The in-development screenshots and gameplay footage are an exciting proof-of-concept for Fortnite players of just how robust the new crafting tools will be.

The Fortnite Chapter 1 map includes locations such as Greasy Grove, Pleasant Park, Retail Row, and Fatal Fields. The map was significantly updated and changed throughout Chapter 1’s 10 Seasons before Chapter 2 introduced an all-new map.

Chapter 1 ended in late 2019. So, it’s been years since fans roamed the map that contributed to Fortnite’s rise in popularity.
