Announced earlier this week, developer Epic Games shared on Twitter that the PC version of its critically-acclaimed Battle Royale no longer supports PCs running Windows 7 or 8. Epic Games announced in December Last year, as of Fortnite Chapter 4, we planned to stop supporting Windows 7 and 8 machines.
PC players have the option to upgrade their rigs to Windows 10 or 11. Alternatively, if you want to “play” Fortnite on your Windows 7 or 8 computer, Epic Games recommends downloading and streaming the title on Nvidia’s cloud gaming, GeForce Now. service. Additionally, Fortnite is available on Xbox Cloud Gaming.
Of course, PC and cloud gaming services aren’t the only ways to play Fortnite. Available for many devices including Android, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch.
