I logged into his website at Gigabyte Thai and couldn’t find this giveaway, but it probably exists because the user shared it with his VideoCardz staff.
Nvidia’s standard GeForce RTX 4070 is expected to be based on an AD104 graphics processor with 5888 CUDA cores running at 1920 MHz to 2475 MHz and a 192-bit memory bus. If the board must use 16Gb (2GB) GDDR6X memory chips, the only possible configurations with a 192-bit memory interface are 12GB (using 6 ICs) and 24GB (using 12 ICs).

For 10GB, AD104 based products will have to move to a 160-bit memory interface. This is possible, but at the cost of memory bandwidth. On the other hand, the AD104 physically lacks a 256-bit memory interface to support 16GB configurations without using fancy memory configurations.
For now, Gigabyte seems to be listing various versions of the GeForce RTX 4070. This is because Nvidia is considering or considering various configurations of his GeForce RTX 4070 product, including 10GB and 12GB versions. On the other hand, an AD104-based product with a 192-bit memory interface he supports 16GB of memory without using fancy memory configurations and in some cases impossible to repeat. GeForce RTX 970 4GB debacleat least based on what I know about AD104.
All the GeForce RTX 4070 boards with different memory configurations could join some of the best graphics cards available, but it looks like only the 12GB version will hit the market. Still, we’ll have to wait until later this year (probably April).
