Gigabyte Registers GeForce RTX 3070 Ti 16GB GPU
Gigabyte seems to have posted some new products on the official EEC registry website. These products may or may not hit the market. There are a total of five new unannounced graphics cards from Gigabyte, but one that caught our eye was what appeared to be the RTX 30 series model with an all-new memory configuration. GeForce RTX 3070 Ti with 16GB of VRAM.Database entry unearthed on Twitter Harukaze 5719 (opens in new tab)has the unmistakable Gigabyte-style codename of “GV-N307TGAMING OC ST-16GD”.
This isn’t the first time a 16GB Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 Ti has been mentioned. This year he reported back in January that both Gigabyte and Asus had the card in their lineup. Of course, it never showed up, but a recent rumor of a 12GB RTX 3080 proved to be true.
We also have to put the newly-launched Gigabyte GV-N307TGAMING OC ST-16GD into perspective of the Nvidia RTX 30 series’ predicament. Nvidia and partners seem to be trying all means to sell off older Ampere GPUs in the coming weeks or months, and offering different memory configurations across the series seems like the preferred idea. A week ago, another Twitter leaker pointed out that the GeForce RTX 3060 8GB, the RTX 3060 Ti with GDDR6X, and the GA102 GPU-based RTX 3070 Ti are all on the market.
At this stage, we don’t know if the 16GB version of the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti will rely on a GA102 GPU according to recent rumors, or if it will stick to a GA104 version like the model currently on sale.

Astute readers will notice something relatively new in the naming scheme. All 5 new cards have “ST” in their codenames, indicating they are new cards project stealth model. This stealth family of devices is extremely quiet, minimizing airflow obstructions. They use Gigabyte’s decent but long-standing WindForce technology, “silent” BIOS options, and power connector placement to reduce cable clutter. However, it’s not visually stealthy as it has RGB Fusion 2.0 LEDs lit up.
Nvidia is set to unveil its first GeForce RTX 40 series graphics cards at its GeForce Beyond event on Tuesday. However, he doesn’t expect to see a successor to the RTX 3070 Ti until early next year. Additionally, many predict that the recent Ethereum merger will lead to an avalanche of “low-use” and “almost new” GeForce and Radeon graphics cards on the second-hand market.
Last but not least, don’t forget that graphics card models may be released based on EEC listings. Sometimes it comes, sometimes it doesn’t, and sometimes there is a huge delay from listing to launch.
