Chinese graphics card maker Gunnir has announced a new graphics card based on two of its best graphics cards, the Arc A770 and Arc A750. According to a report from IT home (opens in new tab)Gunnir has also issued temporary price cuts across the Ark Alchemist lineup to help move some inventory.
The Arc A770 Photon 16G OC W and Arc A750 Photon 8G OC W are two new additions to Gunnir’s product portfolio consisting entirely of Intel graphics cards. The graphics cards are white versions of Gunnir’s existing Arc A770 Photon 16G OC and Arc A750 Photon 8G OC. They adopt the same 2.5-slot design and retain the same cooling system as their vanilla counterparts. The robust cooler features three 90mm cooling fans, pushing the graphics card length to 300mm.
The Arc A770 Photon 16G OC W and Arc A750 Photon 8G OC W have great factory overclocks right out of the box. Additionally, the duo features boost clock speeds of up to 2,400 MHz, which is 300 MHz faster than Intel’s Arc A770 and Arc A750 Limited Edition SKUs. Gunnir rates both graphics cards as PL1 at 195W, so PC builders should be fine with a minimum 650W PSU.

In other news, Gunnir aims to boost sales of Intel Arc graphics cards with attractive discounts. This promotion starts today and ends on May 10th. Gunnir offers his 30%+ discount on entry-level Arc A380 models. Less significant, but the Arc A750 also has good savings. Arc A750 Custom models are temporarily 17% to 28% cheaper. Meanwhile, the Arc A770 is priced up to 14% cheaper.
Unfortunately, the manufacturer only offers discounts to Chinese retailers such as JD.com. Gunnir-branded Arc graphics cards are available on his Newegg through third-party sellers, but remain at regular prices.For example, the retail price of the Arc A380 Photon 6G OC is $159.99 (opens in new tab)the same graphics card currently sells for $130 in China.
It’s nice to finally have a third competitor in the graphics card market, but Intel’s Arc Alchemist graphics cards haven’t made much of an impact. The company recently lowered the price of the Arc A750 to $249 to make it more competitive. We didn’t get a glimpse of his SKU for Arc Alchemist in the best-selling graphics card list or Steam’s monthly hardware survey, and perhaps Intel will get more attention in his Battlemage. This should hit the market in 2024, barring setbacks.
