Halo Infinite Is Finally Getting Infection Mode Next Month

Fan-favorite Halo multiplayer mode Infection is coming to Season 4 of Halo Infinite.Developer 343 Industries has announced that the mode will be removed on the same day as the next season begins on June 20th. Announced.

Infection is the zombie mode of the Halo series and first appeared in Halo 3. The mode has since returned in Halo Reach, Halo 2 Anniversary, and Halo 5: Guardians, with a modified version of the mode titled Flood take. Infection’s location in Halo 4. 343 shared his art for the new concept of his Infection mode for Halo Infinite at the time of the announcement.

Traditionally, Infection pits two teams against each other. A team of survivors with shotguns and a team of infected with energy swords. When a zombie eliminates a survivor, that survivor is converted into an infected team member.

Halo Infinite Season 4 also introduces Career Ranks, giving players a new progression style with military-inspired ranks. Additionally, players can expect an official remake of Halo 5’s Plaza map in his Forge early in Season 4. To wrap up Season 3, Halo Infinite will be hosting his first bonus XP weekend from June 2nd through June 4th.

Halo Infinite’s fourth season kicks off just three and a half months after the start of season three, marking a much quicker turnaround than the ten months between seasons two and three. Put an end to the past long season and Infinite’s content drought.

The Halo series made a lot of headlines earlier this year, with rumors circulating that Microsoft was considering moving the series away from the 343. But Xbox’s Phil Spencer has reiterated that Halo’s “heart and soul” is in 343. The studio will continue. He recently left Microsoft to join the Netflix game, even though it would be developed without longtime series contributor Joseph Staten.
