Hello Neighbor Publisher Acquires Surgeon Simulator, I Am Bread, and Other Bossa Studios IP

Hello Neighbor publisher TinyBuild has acquired Bossa Studios IP, including Surgeon Simulator, I Am Bread, and I Am Fish, for $3 million.

As reported by GamesIndustry.bizBossa Studios was looking to sell its catalog of existing IP as it transitioned to developing games “only in the co-op PvE genre”. websitethe studio is working on a free-to-play Survival or “Survival Adjacent” live service game.

“While working with TinyBuild to ensure that Surgeon Simulator, I Am Bread, and I Am Fish have a new home that understands what drives these games as much as we do, Bossa has made that new project possible. We’ve found a way to give you enough attention, please,” said Bossa co-founder Henrique Olifiers.

Surgeon Simulator and I Am Bread are arguably the most well-known titles bought, and both veer into the slightly silly side of what video games can be.

Surgeon Simulator is quite different from other Sims. Players typically spend as much time juggling organs as they do surgery, but in I Am Bread, players can play like bread.

Alongside Bossa’s three IPs, TinyBuild has announced that it has acquired Despot’s game developer Konfa Games for $5.4 million.
