Here’s Every Legend of Zelda Amiibo

No need to explain that The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom comes out on May 12th. It also needs no explanation that the Tears of the Kingdom Switch OLED model is still available everywhere, but the Tears of the Kingdom Pro Controller and Tears of the Kindgom Collector’s Edition sold out quickly and probably won’t. . come back.

But at least we still get the Tears of the Kingdom amiibo, right?

Yes, it is. Tears of the Kingdom amiibo is available at Best Buy and GameStop, but is already sold out on Amazon. What about Link’s amiibo reprint? They are also hard to come by. In fact, almost everything Legend of Zelda-related seems to be missing (except for the very popular and widely available OLED switches).

As a torture exercise, I made a list of all the Legend of Zelda amiibo and threw in a link (pun intended) that you could decide not to buy when you saw them for sale. Take it back. You’re free to buy them, but with very rare exceptions, they’re all more than double the original price. People don’t even know what it does, but they buy it just in case.

Link (Super Smash Bros. series) November 20, 2014

Nintendo

Link (Super Smash Bros. series)

The first Link amiibo and one of the earliest amiibo. Numbers have come a long way, that’s for sure. Gone are the pee-colored pillars that support subsequent poses.

Zelda (Super Smash Bros. series) December 14, 2014

Zelda (Super Smash Bros. series)

Nintendo

Zelda (Super Smash Bros.) series)

One of the earliest amiibo, this Zelda figure features pretty decent sculpting and paintwork, but is almost primitive when compared to Nintendo’s modern amiibo output.

Seek (Super Smash Bros. series) February 1, 2015

Seek (Super Smash Bros. series)

Nintendo

Seek (Super Smash Bros.) series)

Shiek is slightly better than the previous entry, but still has a weird support beam. I think this is one of my favorite early amiibo. Great poses, great sculpting, great characters.

Toon Link (Super Smash Bros. series) February 1, 2015

I don’t know if Toon Link is everyone’s favorite link, but this one is mine, so I made sure to get it when it came out. Learn more about the Great Master Sword here.

One of my all time favorite amiibo. Impressive, detailed and powerful looking little guy.

This amiibo was included as a pack-in in the Wii U special edition of Twilight Princess HD.If you’ve got that complete inbox, you’re sitting in a nice chunk of change. It is one of the most desirable amiibo.

This amiibo has been reissued with a May 12th release date.

Link: 8-bit Link (The Legend of Zelda series) December 2, 2016

Link (The Legend of Zelda series)

Nintendo

Link (The Legend of Zelda series)

Officially this is just a “link”, but everyone calls it an 8-bit link. There are two similar 8-bit style Mario amiibos, but they all have one thing in common: heavy and pointy.

Toon Link: The Wind Waker (The Legend of Zelda Series) Dec 2, 2016

Toon Link: The Wind Waker (The Legend of Zelda series)

Nintendo

Toon Link: The Wind Waker (The Legend of Zelda) series)

Another great example of Toon Link. This was probably most commonly seen in his amiibo 2 pack with Zelda.

While it’s entirely possible to find this amiibo on its own, 2-packs may pop up at certain retailers. In my opinion, this is the best way to buy.

Bokoblin (The Legend of Zelda series) March 3, 2017

Bokoblin (The Legend of Zelda series)

Nintendo

Bokoblin (The Legend of Zelda) series)

Released with Breath of the Wild, this line of amiibo is where Nintendo really starts to hone in on quality. They were never “bad”, but recent amiibo are very good and vastly improved over their first run.

Guardian (The Legend of Zelda series) March 3, 2017

Guardian (The Legend of Zelda series)

Nintendo

Guardian (The Legend of Zelda) series)

Get the most ambitious amiibo ever made in The Legend of Zelda series. It’s huge, it’s articulate, it’s menacing. I hope we see something like that in Tears of the Kingdom.

Link Archer (The Legend of Zelda series) March 3, 2017

Link Archer (The Legend of Zelda series)

Nintendo

They figured out how to incorporate design elements into the sculpture that complement the figure.

Link Rider (The Legend of Zelda series) March 3, 2017

Link Rider (The Legend of Zelda series)

Nintendo

Link Rider (The Legend of Zelda) series)

OK, Nintendo figured out how to incorporate the support pedestal into Link’s design, but it had too many horses… one creature at a time. Link looks really bad ass in this one, and the horse is pretty cute, aside from the clear plastic.

Zelda (The Legend of Zelda series) March 3, 2017

Zelda (The Legend of Zelda series)

Nintendo

Zelda (The Legend of Zelda series)

This Breath of the Wild version of Zelda amiibo is not for me. She looks like a bootleg of the in-game character her model.

Majora's Mask Link (The Legend of Zelda series)

Nintendo

Majora’s Mask Link (The Legend of Zelda) series)

This Best Buy exclusive amiibo has been reissued with a release date of May 12, 203, but it sold out quickly.

Nintendo

Link: Skyward Sword (The Legend of Zelda) series)

What can I say about Skyward Sword, the link featured in it is one of the most “linked” links ever linked.

You can find it at full price only on GameStop, which unfortunately is sold out.

Daruk (The Legend of Zelda series) November 10, 2017

Daruk (The Legend of Zelda series)

Nintendo

Dark (Legend of Zelda) series)

One of the great heroes from Breath of the Wild and an absolutely amazing amiibo. You might be able to find a 4-pack with them all, but you’ll pay for it.

Mipha (The Legend of Zelda series) November 10, 2017

Mipha (The Legend of Zelda series)

Nintendo

Mipha (The Legend of Zelda) series)

This is a very popular amiibo, nothing more to say, I think Mipha definitely has the most useful hero power.

Revali (The Legend of Zelda series) November 10, 2017

Revali (The Legend of Zelda series)

Nintendo

Revali (The Legend of Zelda) series)

Another great hero amiibo, but Lebari is personally my least favorite of all the great heroes.

Urbosa (The Legend of Zelda series) November 10, 2017

Urbosa (The Legend of Zelda series)

Nintendo

Urbosa (The Legend of Zelda) series)

Urbosa is my pick for “best amiibo pose ever”. Seriously, you can feel her confidence radiating from her when she stands with her power and grace.Well done, Urbosa.

Coming back to SSB, this Young Link looks both every part of the Super Smash Bros. renders and imagination when playing Ocarina on the N64.

Link's Awakening (The Legend of Zelda series)

Nintendo

Link’s Awakening (The Legend of Zelda series)

I really like this amiibo. It’s so perfect. It looks exactly like his Nintendo Switch remake rendering of the game. This is an absolute home run.

Zelda and Loftwing (The Legend of Zelda series) Jul 16, 2021

Zelda & Loft Wing (The Legend of Zelda series)

Nintendo

This is an amiibo that can be found in the real world or ordered online. It is therefore more expensive). This amazing sculpture and detail.

Nintendo

Link: Tears of the Kingdom (The Legend of Zelda) series)

The Tears of the Kingdom version of Link, the latest installment in The Legend of Zelda amiibo series, launches alongside the game on May 12th.

Are there more Tears of the Kingdom amiibo?

So far, the Link Tears of the Kingdom amiibo is the only new amiibo we know of for a new Zelda game. However, looking at the amiibo release schedule around the time of Breath of the Wild, there’s more than one. Either Nintendo has more plans and is afraid to ruin the game, or they only make one. I myself lean towards the first possibility. Time will tell.
