Hogwarts Legacy is finally coming to PS4 and Xbox One consoles. There’s never been a better time to dive into the world of magic. If you’re just starting out in the game, there are plenty of resources to help you get the most out of your magical adventures.

Choosing the Right Hogwarts House

This may seem like a no-brainer for fans of the Harry Potter series who have known Hogwarts houses for years, but the house you choose can affect the game’s story. Each house is clearly associated with a different trait, but it also comes with access to common rooms and additional dialogue options from the characters in the house.

The main difference between the houses in the game is that each house has different quests leading up to meeting Richard Jackdaw.

Attend first class before exploring

The map of Hogwarts Legacy is huge. Just exploring Hogwarts Castle can seem endless. Because of this, it’s incredibly easy to get distracted very early on. Completing the main story quests directly leads to learning spells and unlocking additional areas, so it’s best to progress through the story before you get lost.

Prioritize obtaining a broom

Hogwarts Legacy doesn’t have Quidditch, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t have flying broomsticks. There’s nothing more satisfying than flying around Hogwarts on a magical broomstick. Unfortunately, you can’t immediately start the game with a broom. To purchase your own broomstick, you’ll need to progress to the Riding Lessons quest to learn the basics.

Take advantage of interactive maps

One of the coolest things about Hogwarts Legacy is the size of the map. Even if you spend all day walking around Hogwarts Castle, you can still find things you missed before. It also means that keeping track of where everything is is essential to the game. Many collection-based quests in the game have maps that show where all the various items are on the map. and very helpful.

Increase gear inventory slots

When you first start the game, you will have 20 equipment slots available. That’s fine for a while, but as you continue exploring, you’ll find that 20 gear slots isn’t enough. There are countless pieces of equipment lying around Hogwarts and in the water. Unfortunately, once your gear slots are full, you’ll need to remove or sell items before you can collect any more.

Maximize Alohamora Spell
