Hogwarts Legacy’s Nintendo Switch Release Delayed

Harry Potter: Hogwarts Legacy achieved good results on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but fans will have to wait a little longer to see if the Switch version can achieve the same results.

Originally scheduled for a July release, Avalanche Software announced today on Twitter that it will be delaying Hogwarts Legacy until November for further optimization.

“We know our fans are looking forward to playing on Switch, so creating the best experience possible is our number one priority. Thank you for your patience. ,” the team wrote in their Hogwarts Legacy feed.

Avalanche has a big job ahead of it. Hogwarts Legacy managed to be stable on older consoles, but the Switch is less powerful than the base PlayStation 4. Marvel Midnight Sons is one of his canceled Switch ports as the studio waved the white flag to the platform.

Still, Switch has had some pretty impressive ports like The Witcher 3 and Nier Automata. If Avalanche can optimize his Switch version of Hogwarts Legacy, especially one of the most ambitious open-world games of this generation, it would be one of the platform’s most impressive technical achievements to date. I guess.

Hogwarts Legacy launched earlier this year to positive reviews and has since grossed over $1 billion. However, the work’s success has been controversial due to his association with J.K. Rowling, a creator who has outspokenly advocated anti-transgender views.

Hogwarts Legacy is set to release on Switch on November 14th.
