Of course, you don’t need much fanfare when announcing anything about Team Cherry’s long-awaited sequel to the award-winning Hollow Knight. Silksong’s hype has been surreal since it was first announced at E3 2019, but new information about the game has trickled in rather slowly since then.
The Metroidvania sequel casts players as Hornet, who wields a sharp stinger as a weapon, and must explore the mysterious world of Furroom to find out why she was brought there. While the game appears to maintain the same overall design as the original, expect a greater emphasis on speed and verticality thanks to Hornet’s expanded moveset.
Hollow Knight: Silksong will launch on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, and PC at some point, likely in early 2023, though Team Cherry has yet to confirm a release date. No. Game Pass subscribers on Xbox and PC are available from day one at no additional cost.
