How To Add Chat to OBS
The best part of streaming is talking to your audience. You can talk to them via game chat, Discord, or text chat, but text chat is the most common way to connect with your audience. From here, inner circle stories, nicknames, and bonds are born. You can’t build those bonds without watching your chats and replying to your viewers.
Once your Twitch account is linked, you will be able to view your chats in OBS. There is a way to add chat to the OBS overlay. This is what all pros do, namely me. I love chatting on streams. Here’s how to add chat to your stream using Facebook, Twitch (using StreamLabs, StreamElements, and YouTube).
How to add Facebook chat to your stream
1. Open your Facebook like page.
2. Click Meta Business Suite on the left side of the page.

12. A chat window is now available. Update the URL comment browser source every time you go live. You are now ready to go.
How to add Twitch chat to your stream
You must be logged into Streamlabs or StreamElements to add a chat overlay to your Twitch stream.
Using Streamlabs:
1. go to StreamLabs website.
2. Click Widgets >> Chatbox.
3. Login to your account.
Four. Search for Chatbox in the search bar,[チャット ボックス ウィジェットの設定]Choose.
Five. Copy the widget URL. Do not share this URL with anyone. linked to your account.
6. Open OBS and select the scene you want to use in your chat box. Here we are using the Browser scene for our chat box.
7. [ソース]add the browser source.
8. Rename the source to Twitch Chat Box,[OK]Click.
9. Replace URL with your chat URL,[OK]Click to save. You can also tweak the width and height of the chat box to give you the best layout.
Ten. [ストリーミングの開始]Click to stream the show in the built-in chat window.
Using StreamElement
The StreamElements chat box is a little more complicated as we need to select an overlay. Then you get another customizable chat feature.
1. open your browser Stream Elements website and log in.
2. From the StreamElements page menu[ストリーミング ツール]>>[オーバーレイ]Choose.
3. Create a new overlay.
Four. set the overlay resolution to match the stream resolution,[開始]Click. In our case we chose 1080p.
Five. Name the overlay “Chat Window”,[保存]Click.
6. Click Add Widget.
7. Go to Stream Tools,[ストリームのチャット]Choose. This will bring up a black chat window on your screen. You can move the windows to get the best layout.
8. Copy the URL link from the icon in the upper right corner.
9. Open OBS and select the scene you want to use in your chat box. Here we are using the Browser scene for our chat box.

11. Rename the source to Twitch Chat Box,[OK]Click.

Using YouTube
YouTube’s chat integration with OBS is the easiest of them all.
1. Open your browser and go to YouTube.
2. Go to your YouTube channel, The icon is in the upper right corner.
3. From the camera icon drop-down menu[Go Live]Choose.
Four. in the three-dot menu on the top right[ポップアウト チャット]Choose.
Five. Copy the URL of the popup chat window.
6. Open OBS and select the scene you want to use in your chat box. Here we are using the Browser scene for our chat box.

8. Rename the source to YouTube Chat Box,[OK]Click.
9. Replace URL with your chat URL,[OK]Click to save. You can also tweak the width and height of the chat box to give you the best layout.
