How to Find Your MAC Address in macOS
When you connect to your wireless router on your home or public Wi-Fi, you need to be able to identify your device. The best way to do that is to give each connecting device its own unique identity that it can trust to join the network. If you have a Mac, Windows PC, Android phone, or iPhone, your device is assigned a unique Media Access Control (MAC) address at the factory.
If your computer has a Wi-Fi adapter and a physical Ethernet port, each has a unique MAC address. These MAC addresses are permanently fixed on computers, smartphones, tablets, etc. So even if you rename your phone to “Brandon’s iPhone 14 Pro” or “Brandon Rules”, the Wi-Fi MAC address will not change. Easy to connect to known networks. You may need to know the MAC address for several reasons, such as whitelisting on your router (for creating a list of allowed devices).

How to find the MAC address on macOS 13 using System Preferences
The System Settings app is where you can access most of the configuration options available on your Mac. Accessing the MAC address is relatively easy using the following steps:
1. Go to the “Network” tab in the system settingsTo access system settings, click the gear icon in the Dock or search for “system settings” in Spotlight.in the sidebar[ネットワーク]Click.

How to find the MAC address on macOS 12 using network settings
The process on macOS 12 Monterey (and older versions of macOS) is a bit simpler.
1. Click the Wi-Fi icon in the top menu bar.Click the Wi-Fi icon to see a list of available wireless networks. At the bottom of the popup are settings for network settings that you need to click.
2. Select Wi-Fi (or Ethernet). You must select the network adapters to display. In this case, I chose the MacBook Pro’s Wi-Fi adapter.so Click Details.
3. Find the section labeled Wi-Fi MAC Address: The MAC address is displayed at the bottom of the window.
How To Find Your MAC Address On macOS 13 Or macOS 12 Using Terminal
Another way to find your MAC address on macOS is to use the Terminal app. This is suitable if you don’t want to use a mouse and clicks in the macOS user interface.
1. open terminal appThe best way to do this is to type “terminal” in Spotlight.
2. Enter as follows ifconfig after entering the terminal press enter.
3. Look for CSUM> or ROINVERT_SUM>: You’ll have to scroll down quite a bit to find the right information about MAC addresses. In my case, the Wi-Fi MAC address is under CSUM>. The Ethernet MAC address is under ROINVERT_CSUM>.
