Intel Selling RGB Arc Alchemist Mousepad to Celebrate its GPUs
Fans of Intel’s Arc GPUs will love this new accessory.Intel is new Arc-inspired RGB mouse pad (via Intel store) Fits under both keyboard and mouse. The mouse pad measures 36.5 x 15.5 feet (930 x 400mm) and is made from a soft fabric designed for all mouse sensitivities and optics. A USB-C port powers the RGB lighting.
The mousepad’s color theme is the same as Intel’s Arc GPU, featuring a combination of pink and blue. That graphic has two very bright RGB halos, one full and one not. The right ring is the full ring representing the mouse position, the other is for display and is a much larger halo sticking out from the edge of the mouse pad so only part of the ring is visible.
Those pink and blue halos are the same halos you see in all of Intel’s Arc GPU ads and presentations.
Unlike traditional RGB mousepads that use a hard surface along with bright RGB ambient lighting, Intel’s mousepads do the opposite, utilizing a softer diffused RGB lighting solution along with the use of softer fabric materials. Gives your mouse pad a more mature look and less distraction during gaming. Also, if you need to take it with you on vacation or business trips, the soft fabric material allows the mouse pad to be folded, making it much easier to carry.
For now, the ultra-wide 930 x 400mm form factor is the only size Intel carries. We don’t know if Intel will expand its portfolio of sizes, but hopefully we’ll see at least a regular-sized version for those of us who only use mice and mousepads.
Unfortunately, Intel mouse pads don’t come cheap. Priced at $64.77 (opens in new tab)A similar mousepad with cloth material and RGB illumination can be found for less than half that price. But if you want to show off your love for Intel’s discrete GPUs (some of which are among the best graphics cards out there right now), this mouse pad offers a great way to do just that.
