We are here in Israel for Intel’s Technology Tour 2022. There, the company shares new information about its latest products, many of which have been embargoed until later. However, the company did share a slide touting that Raptor Lake ran at 6 GHz on stock settings and set a world overclocking record at 8 GHz using liquid nitrogen (here, the 13th Gen Intel processor in detail). Notably, the 6 GHz peak is 300 MHz faster than his 5.7 GHz on AMD’s Ryzen 7000 processor.

You can see the 6GHz stock clock and the 8GHz world record listed in the last entry in the timeline above. The Israel Development Center (IDC) is the design engine behind a long line of Intel products, dating back to his 8088 that started it all in 1979 (review here). That line-up continues to this day and includes famous names such as Pentium MXX, Banias and Sandy Bridge.
