Jedi: Survivor Receives Yet Another Performance-Enhancing Update

Jedi: Survivors Haven’t Received Yet another update On PC, we’ve made a number of bug fixes and performance enhancements. Most of the performance improvements include further reductions in traversal hitches, improved CPU thread scheduling, and FSR bug fixes. This update is now available for PC and will be available for consoles at a later date.
As a refresher, Jedi: Survivor launched last month in a terrible state. Gamers and reviewers said it was plagued with serious performance issues, making the game hard to run on the best GPUs and nearly unplayable on lower-end machines. The performance problems were so bad that some press called Jedi: Survivor a ” Worst triple A PC port 2023 so far”.
Hours after launch, EA promised gamers that it would roll out several patches to fix the game’s horrific performance issues. Since then, that promise has been fulfilled and he has delivered five patches so far that improve the game’s performance on PC and consoles, including this latest patch.

The new patch notes for Jedi: Survivors’ latest patch (Patch 5) are quite extensive, featuring tons of bug fixes and performance updates for the game. Four updates specifically relevant for PC include improved content caching, improved threading when ray tracing is turned off, and reduced visual quality settings on PC when FSR is turned off. Includes an FSR resolution fix that addresses a resolution issue with , and a reset button fix. When the controller or keyboard does not respond. The Jedi: Survivor team also announced additional performance fixes and stability improvements for the game, but didn’t name them.
The first two improvements in particular are most noticeable on PC, with better frame rates in general when the game relies on the CPU and a reduced amount of frame dips Jedi: Survivor can experience. To do. Unfortunately, however, the promised CPU optimizations for Intel Alder Lake and Raptor Lake processors have yet to materialize, so gaming on these new chips (especially models with P and E cores) It is expected that you will continue to experience performance issues.
After playing the game personally for a few minutes, it’s safe to say that the new patch significantly improved the game’s performance, even with ray tracing enabled. The game is much smoother when moving around large areas of the game (especially his Koboh), and there are fewer frame dips overall.
The game is performing very well at this stage, but the Respawn development team is far from finished polishing the game. The patch notes assert that gamers should keep an eye out for future patches with even more optimizations.
See EA’s patch notes for a full list of details. here. Again, this update is available on PC now, and will be coming to PS5 and Xbox consoles in the future.
