John Carpenter Hints at an Upcoming Dead Space Film, But He’s Not Involved

Horror movie legend John Carpenter loves Dead Space. The directors of The Thing, Halloween, and Escape from New York have often talked about it in the past. And in all his love for the series, Carpenter may have just inadvertently teased the film adaptation before it was officially revealed.

In an interview with Variety, the publication told Carpenter that his past In response, Carpenter took a pretty big step back to the idea that he might be involved, but at the end leaked that “another director” was involved. … implying that such a thing exists in the first place.

“I’m a big fan of video games, so I played them all. [Dead Space] Mr Carpenter said: It spread and everyone said, “Oh, when are you going to do it?” i’m not going to do that. I think there’s already another director involved. And they aren’t asking me to do it. So don’t do it until someone asks. But a new version of the Dead Space video game is set to release in his January, and I’ll be there. “

Even when he’s not directing, Carpenter seems to be front and center as a fan of both the upcoming game and whether the film adaptation is cooked or not. She said a “perfect day” was staying up late watching the news, playing video games, watching basketball, and going to bed.

Carpenters don’t have to wait that long. The Dead Space remake is set to release on his January 26th, 2023. The official launch trailer was revealed yesterday, with a deep dive into his first 18-minute reveal of gameplay, the original, and how the story has been rewritten and improved.
