Lady Gaga, Beyoncé Collaborator Bloodpop Launches Game Studio Featuring ‘Ambitious’ AAA Shooter

Award-winning music producer Bloodpop, who has worked with high-profile artists such as Lady Gaga and Beyoncé, has launched Genpop Interactive with the help of former DeNA and Bandai Namco executive Aubrey Tennant. GenPop Interactive is a new studio working on his AAA games with a focus on “music, fashion and gaming culture”.

The studio has over 25 developers working on titles such as Halo Infinite, Cyberpunk 2077 and The Sims. GenPop Interactive’s first game will be a third-person shooter featuring “fresh movement and combat mechanics.”

The upcoming shooter will be marketed to Gen Z, and CEO and Game Director Bloodpop said of the upcoming game:

“Gen Z is eager for new IPs that speak to them and have a long legacy that defines their generation. We rely on giving back to old IP. We are on a mission not only to create the next great game, but also to nurture the next generation of popular culture,” said Bloodpop.

GenPop Interactive has raised $6.5 million in funding with the help of various companies and people, including Studio Trigger, the animation studio behind critically acclaimed anime such as Cyberpunk: Edgerunners and Kill la Kill. procured.
