League of Legends MMO Producer Announces Plans to Leave Riot

Just over two years after Riot Games announced its League of Legends MMORPG, the game’s executive producer is stepping down.

Executive Producer Greg Street announced today that he is leaving Riot Games. twitter thread.

“A combination of personal and professional considerations has led me down this path,” Street wrote. I want to be close to my family.”

However, Street has assured Riot fans that the MMO spinoff is still in the works.

“The MMO is in good shape and the time is right to take over reigns for the next phase,” he wrote. “I plan to stay in game development and have already been given many exciting opportunities. When Riot MMO is released, I will play Riot MMO with you.”

Street first joined Riot in 2013 as lead gameplay designer for the original League of Legends. riot websiteHe announced a League of Legends MMORPG in 2020 in a tweet, but said there is “no guarantee” that the game will be released in 2022.

Of course, the League of Legends MMORPG isn’t the only League of Legends-related project Riot is currently working on. In January he leaked a spin-off called Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story, and last December he confirmed once again the upcoming League of Legends fighter Project L.
