LG Debuts UltraGear 45-Inch 240Hz Curved OLED Gaming Monitor

LG showcases a giant ultrawide gaming monitor at IFA 2022 Berlin today. The new LG UltarGear OLED gaming monitor (model 45GR95QE) features a 45 inch diagonal 3440 x 1440 pixel display with a maximum refresh rate of 240 Hz and a response time of 0.1 ms. Designed to completely immerse gamers with an accurate, wide color gamut and 800R curvature that encapsulates the viewer.

The new LG UltraGear 45GR95QE is the company’s first monitor to be released with a 45-inch OLED display panel and the first with an 800R curvature. However, if you’re feeling déjà vu, LG’s monitor appears to feature the same ‘LG Display’ flexible OLED panel as the physically flexing Corsair Xeneon Flex 45WQHD240 OLED gaming monitor we reported yesterday. The big difference is that LG decided on a fixed 800R curvature and Corsair leaves the curvature of the screen up to the user (between perfectly flat and around 800R).Perhaps LG wasn’t happy Squeaky Corsair bending mechanismwhich does not create a true arc, but a display with two flat sides and a bend in the middle.
