Mailchimp, a popular email service provider, has shut down several crypto-focused media outlets and companies using its platform, including Decrypt and Messari.
Mailchimp reports of account suspensions began earlier this week on custodial crypto wallet Edge. The platform’s community discovered that when his manager, Joelly Garcia, tried to log into his Mailchimp account, it was disabled.

Other crypto-focused entities are experiencing similar issues. On August 10, Messari founder Ryan Selkis announced that Mailchimp had suspended the company’s account “for no reason.”

Messari’s head of marketing, Jared Ronis, said the company didn’t even have access to a list of subscribers, adding, “It’s horrifying to think about how the crackdown on real bad actors is going to go.” .

Suspension also affected crypto media outlets Decrypt, a Mailchimp user of 4+ years.
While recent suspensions have affected some of the more popular names in the crypto industry, Mailchimp has a history of suspending or banning anything related to cryptocurrencies.

In her case, Mailchimp explained the suspension was “because content related to your industry conflicts with our Acceptable Use Policy.”

Cryptoon Goonz NFT founder Jesse Friedland experienced the same thing.in his case he email from mail chimp It has said “The risk associated with your account is too great to support submission.”
Mailchimp added:
“Please note that we cannot authorize companies involved in the sale, trading, trading, exchange, storage, marketing, or production of cryptocurrencies, virtual currencies, and digital assets.”
According to Mailchimp terms of serviceEmail Service Provider does not provide services to companies conducting business related to “cryptocurrencies, virtual currencies, and digital assets related to initial coin offerings.”
As of press time, Mailchimp has not yet responded to CryptoSlate’s request for comment on the matter.
