Marvel’s Avengers Is Getting Its Last Patch Ever Today

Less than three years after its release, Marvel’s Avengers will no longer be supported. Crystal Dynamics released patch 2.8 for Marvel’s Avengers today. This will add some final features and bug fixes to the game before it is delisted later this year.

Crystal Dynamics released a patch blog post, thanks for the support of the players. This patch focuses on introducing some final features to the game and includes a number of new bug fixes.

Patch 2.8 will make many of the game’s cosmetics more accessible, removing the Shipment and Hero Challenge Card system entirely from the game and placing their rewards in the Marketplace instead. The update also automatically converts a player’s credit balance into in-game resources, turning hero Catalysts and Fragment Extractors into a permanent 1.5x multiplier for earned Fragments and his XP.

Additionally, players who have earned at least one trophy by April 1st will receive Iron Man’s Variable Threat Response Battle Suit as a thank you gift.

The patch notes can be read in full at Crystal Dynamics websitealso details quite a few bug fixes that address everything from combat to certain animations.

Official support for Marvel’s Avengers is scheduled to end on September 30th, after which the game will be delisted.
