Metroid Fusion Joins Nintendo Switch Online Next Week

Metroid Fusion will join the Nintendo Switch Online Game Boy Advance library next week.

However, a tweet from Nintendo (below) has a March 9th release date, and the company’s press release lists March 8th, so it’s a bit unclear when the game will arrive.IGN has reached out to clarify this release date.

Metroid Fusion will be the first additional Game Boy Advance game added to the Switch Online collection after Nintendo launched the service in February with six titles. As his fourth game in the 2D Metroid saga, the entire collection will be (somewhat) available on the Switch, with the exception of the original game’s remake Zero Mission.

IGN gave Metroid Fusion a 9/10 rating in its review, and also ranked it among the top 25 greatest Nintendo Game Boy Advance games of all time.

“Intelligent Systems has put together a fantastic adventure for the Game Boy Advance that will not only delight die-hard Samus fans who have been yearning for a continuation of the adventure in 2D, but will also encourage gamers unfamiliar with the series to enjoy Samus’ previous games. You’ll likely be interested in looking for a game,” we said at the time.

Before users can download Metroid Fusion and the rest of the Game Boy Advance games, they will need both Nintendo Switch Online and Expansion Packs, all of which can be done from the Switch Online app on the console itself.

Also in the collection are Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3, WarioWare Inc.: Mega MicroGames, Kuru Kuru Kurin, Mario Kart: Super Circuit, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, and The Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap. .
