Minecraft Trails and Tales Update Gets a Release Date
In March, Minecraft revealed new details about its 1.20 Trails and Tales update, which emphasizes “expression, storytelling, and self-expression through worldbuilding.” Well, we finally have a release date for the update.
Minecraft today made a blog post It’s been revealed that Trails and Tales will be available for free download on June 7th. This blog post also details the update, which introduces quite a few new mobs and blocks, as well as a few smaller changes tailored to the storytelling.
Trails and Tales features the long-awaited two-seater camel and the community-voted Sniffer Gentle Giant during Minecraft Live 2022. Also introduced are his two new wood sets in bamboo and cherry. It can be found in the Cherry Grove (a new biome in the update).

The update also includes Archeology, its primary new mechanic that allows players to dig through the sand to find buildable tools and pottery shards.
Trails and Tales also introduces armor trims that allow for more customization. This update also includes a few more small changes to decorative blocks, such as hangable signs, playable mob sounds, and the ability to store enchanted books in new types of bookshelves.
