Monkey Drainer steals 7 CryptoPunks, 20 Otherdeed NFTs
Prominent blockchain security firm PeckshieldAlert and on-chain research firm Zachxbt revealed on November 4th that a phishing scammer operating under the pseudonym Monkey Drainer had stolen it. 7 Cryptopunks and 20 Atheredid NFTs.

The news was first reported by self-proclaimed 2D fraud detector ZackXBT. ZackXBT estimated that the stolen collectibles were worth 520 ETH (about $824,200).
The Monkey Drainer was also used recently when both AJT and Gabriel Leydon were SIM swapped.

The recent theft is the second exploit by Monkey Drainer in less than 10 days. On October 25, the abuser stole 700 ETH ($1 million) from several victims in 24 hours.

Two of the biggest victims lost $370,000 by signing deals on malicious phishing sites run by Monkey Drainer. One victim lost 1 BAYC, 1 CloneX, USDC he lost $36,000, and 12 other her NFTs worth about $150,000.

Monkey Drainer typically masquerades as a prominent blockchain platform such as Aptos or RTFKT to deprive NFT owners of their collections through phishing attacks that set up fake crypto or NFT sites.
