New PS5 Update Prepares Console For DualSense Edge Controller

A new system update for PlayStation 5 is now available for download. This adds support for Sony’s upcoming DualSense Edge controller, which is expected to launch later this month.

The latest PS5 update, for the most part, offers players the usual ambiguity we’ve come to expect: improved system stability and performance, but patch notes Please state “DualSense Edge wireless controllers are now supported”.

It stands to reason that PS5 owners looking to use DualSense Edge at launch will need to have this update installed on their systems.

For starters, the DualSense Edge is Sony’s answer to the Xbox Elite controller, offering a premium option for players who want to customize their gamepad to enhance their play and comfort.

Some of the $200 controller’s great features include fully remappable buttons, the ability to customize the sticks with several different caps, and a paddle that can be attached to the back for additional input options.

The DualSense Edge launches on January 26th and is compatible with all PS5s – at least if you download that new system update.

Check out our hands-on impressions for our thoughts on Sony’s luxury controller pre-launch, which we called “a very well-designed controller with lots of potential for those who want to customize their controls from top to bottom.” please.
